If your vape is not charging, start with the external power path: the exact device instructions, the correct cable, the power source, the visible charging port and the device’s documented controls. Do not assume the internal battery has failed, and do not open the device to find out. A cable problem and a damaged battery can produce a similar “no charge” result but require very different responses.
Use the charging equipment specified for your model. Place the device on a stable, non-combustible surface where you can observe it, keep it uncovered, and stop immediately if it becomes unusually hot, swells, hisses, smells unusual, leaks from the battery area or shows visible damage.
Use the charging symptom to choose the next action
A charging light is useful evidence, but it does not prove by itself that the battery is healthy or storing a full charge. Use the complete pattern.

A safe charging check in the right order
1. Read the exact device instructions
Before swapping equipment, confirm how the manufacturer says the device should be charged. Check the port type, the recommended or supplied cable, the documented power input, the meaning of each light pattern and whether the device can be used while charging. Similar-looking USB ports do not mean that every charger or fast-charging mode is suitable.
If the manual is missing, use the manufacturer’s official support page for the exact model. Avoid relying on a reset sequence or button combination from a different device.
2. Let the device return to a normal temperature
A device that has been in a hot vehicle, direct sun or a very cold environment should not be charged immediately. Put it in a dry, ventilated place away from combustible material and let it return naturally to a normal indoor temperature. Do not heat it, refrigerate it or place it in water.
If the device is already unusually hot without charging, or becomes progressively hotter after connection, stop. Temperature is a reason to end the test, not to continue until a light appears.
3. Check the cable without forcing the plug
Inspect the cable ends for bent metal, split insulation, looseness, contamination or other visible damage. Insert the connector in the correct orientation and stop if it does not fit normally. A connector that requires force, twisting or pressure can damage the port.
If the device instructions permit another cable, test one known working, compatible cable. Changing one item at a time helps separate a cable fault from a device fault. Do not keep using a visibly damaged cable.
4. Check the power source specified by the manufacturer
Use a working power source that meets the device’s documented requirements. If you change from one source to another, keep the cable and device conditions the same so the result is meaningful. Do not assume that a high-output phone charger, laptop port or multi-port adaptor is automatically appropriate.
Connect the device on a stable surface, keep the charging area clear and watch it during the initial test. Do not place it under bedding, clothing or other material that traps heat.
5. Inspect the visible charging port
With the device disconnected, look at the port in good light. Loose debris can prevent a complete connection, while bent parts, corrosion or a port that moves in the housing may indicate damage. Wipe only accessible dry surfaces with a soft lint-free cloth. Do not insert pins, blades or other metal tools, and do not pour cleaner into the port.
If the port looks damaged or the cable works only when held at an angle, stop using that charging setup. Repeated movement can worsen the connection and is not a reliable repair.
6. Check removable parts only where the manual makes them relevant
Some devices charge independently of the pod; others use status logic that may react to how a removable part is seated. Follow the manual rather than guessing. If you remove a pod, wipe accessible condensation from the pod base and device contacts with a dry cloth and make sure everything is dry before reassembly.
Do not rinse or submerge the battery body. If liquid has entered the charging port or appears to have reached the internal battery area, stop using and charging the device.
7. Check documented lock and indicator behaviour
A device may be locked, switched off or showing a light pattern that means something other than charging. Use only the controls documented for the exact model. Count flashes or note colours if the manufacturer assigns them a meaning, but do not treat an undocumented pattern as a diagnosis.
If the indicator starts normally, allow the charging period stated by the manufacturer. Do not repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the cable every few seconds. If the light says charging but the device still has no usable charge afterwards, the next step is support rather than a longer series of experiments.
What different charging behaviours can mean
No light at all
No response can mean power is not reaching the device, the cable or port is not making contact, the device is in a documented low-power state, or the device has a fault. Check the external path once in the order above. If a correct cable and compatible source produce no response, that result is enough to contact support; it is not a reason to open the housing.
The light flashes but charging stops
A flashing pattern may be a manufacturer warning, a connection problem or ordinary status behaviour. Record the colour and number of flashes, then compare them with the manual. If the connection cuts out when the plug moves, treat the cable or port as suspect and stop applying pressure to it.
The indicator completes but the battery drains immediately
A completed light does not measure the battery’s actual stored capacity. Repeat the test only with the correct charging setup and normal device conditions. If the device still becomes flat immediately, behaves unpredictably or cannot complete ordinary use, contact support. Internal battery testing is not a user-level task for a sealed vape.
The device charges but will not fire
This may be a separate operational issue rather than a charging failure. Check the documented power or lock control, pod seating and compatible consumable. If the device displays an error or flash pattern, use the exact manufacturer’s explanation. Do not bypass a protection message or bridge contacts.

- Use the supplied or manufacturer-recommended charging equipment.
